Privacy Policy

The short version

Hikmah Quest does not collect, store or transmit any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising. We cannot tell who you are.

Everything the app remembers — your settings and your progress — is stored only on your own device.

Two things do leave the app: buying a card pack, which necessarily involves the app store you bought it from and the service that checks the receipt, and a check on startup for whether an updated version is available. Both are described below.

What is stored on your device

Your settings: tilt sensitivity, sound and vibration preferences, and whether you have asked for a daily reminder.

Your progress: how many rounds you have played, which cards you have seen and answered correctly, your best streak and your daily streak.

Which card packs you have bought, so they stay unlocked when you are offline.

This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to us, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it.

Motion and sensors

Gameplay uses your device’s motion sensor to detect when you tilt the phone to mark a card correct or skipped.

Those readings are used moment to moment while a round is running and are never recorded, stored or transmitted.

Children

Hikmah Quest is made for families and is suitable for children.

The app never asks anyone for their name, age, email address or any other personal detail, so there is nothing for a child to disclose to us. No profile is built about any player, child or adult.

We show no advertising of any kind, and nothing in the app tracks anyone across other apps or websites.

Buying a card pack asks for a button to be held down for two seconds first, so a child cannot make a purchase by tapping around. The only information involved in a purchase is described under Purchases below, and none of it identifies the person making it.

Purchases

Card packs can be bought inside the app. The payment itself is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your card details, your name or your address, and no payment information passes through the app.

To know which packs you own, the app uses a service called RevenueCat to check your receipt with the app store. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier it generates for your installation, the packs you have bought, and basic technical details such as your device type, app version and country. It does not receive your name, your email address or anything that identifies you personally, and we do not link it to any identity because we hold none.

That anonymous identifier is what makes Restore Purchases work when you change phone. It cannot be used to work out who you are.

We do not use this, or anything else, for advertising or for tracking you across other apps and websites.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a notification on your own device at the time you choose, and cancels it when you play.

This happens entirely on your phone. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and there is no push server involved. Turning the reminder off, or turning notifications off for Hikmah Quest in your phone’s settings, stops it completely.

App updates

When the app starts, it asks our update service whether a newer version of the app’s content is available. That request tells it which version of the app you are running and which type of device it is. It does not include your name, your progress, anything you have bought, or any identifier for you.

This is how corrections and improvements reach you without waiting for an app store update. It is the only thing besides a purchase that leaves the app.

Your rights

Because we hold no data that identifies you, there is nothing for us to show you, correct or delete on request.

To remove everything the app has stored on your device, delete the app. Your purchases are not lost by doing so — they stay attached to your Apple ID or Google account, and Restore Purchases brings them back.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts doing anything new that affects your privacy — a new service, or anything else that sends information off your device — this policy will be updated before that ships, and the change will be described plainly here rather than buried.

The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
